The Pinnacle II™ Amino column is ideal for sugar analyses. Sugar analysis is important in the generation of nutritional panels, as both the sugar content and the total carbohydrate content must be included. HPLC analysis using an amino-based stationary phase is the most popular technique for routine analyses of simple sugars using isocratic elution (e.g., acetonitrile:water, 75:25) and a refractive index detector (RID).
